Gearbox Publishing San Francisco Rebrands as Arc Games

Arc Games, formerly known as Gearbox Publishing San Francisco, has unveiled its new identity. The announcement was shared by Magic Design Studios, the developer behind Have a Nice Death. Arc Games stated, "As a team of dedicated gamers, we have brought numerous cherished franchises to life, including Remnant, Have a Nice Death, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter." The company expressed enthusiasm for upcoming titles like Gigantic: Rampage Edition, Hyper Light Breaker, and other soon-to-be-announced games. Following its acquisition by Embracer in 2021 and subsequent rebranding in 2022, the publisher is now operating under its new name. This development comes on the heels of Take-Two's announcement to acquire Gearbox Entertainment from Embracer in a deal worth $460 million, with Arc Games retaining publishing rights to several games.
