Choudhry previously oversaw cloud gaming and Xbox's entry into game streaming. Within Xbox, two new teams have been established: Xbox Experiences and Platforms, focused on improving the overall user experience on Xbox consoles and Windows, led by Ashley McKissick and Kevin Gammill, and a dedicated game preservation team. An internal email from Xbox President Sarah Bond revealed the creation of a new team focused on ensuring title playability on future Xbox devices, stating, "We have formed a new team dedicated to game preservation, crucial for Xbox and the gaming industry. We are committed to delivering backwards compatibility and bringing forward Xbox's game library for future players to enjoy." Other key changes include Catherine Gluckstein leading the Xbox Strategy and Regulatory team and Jennifer Creegan joining to head Microsoft Gaming's analytics and business planning. Over the past six months, Microsoft has undergone significant changes, including the integration of Activision Blizzard and widespread layoffs, with 1,900 employees let go in January.
