Apple Gives Green Light to Retro Game Emulators on App Store

Additionally, the company has updated its rules for mini-games and mini-apps, requiring them to use HTML5 when integrated into apps like WeChat. This move follows Apple's earlier policy changes, including the introduction of game streaming apps and compliance with the European Union's Digital Markets Act, which permits alternative payment methods and app stores on Apple devices. Meanwhile, Apple is facing a civil antitrust lawsuit in the US and an investigation by the European Commission for potential violations of the Digital Markets Act, alongside Google and Meta.
