Rami Ismail Transfers Ownership of Vlambeer
Rami Ismail has relinquished his stake in Vlambeer, passing ownership to co-founder Jan Willem Nijman. In a recent blog post, Ismail revealed that he previously held 50% of the studio, but both parties agreed it was in the best interest of Vlambeer for a single owner to be at the helm. Ismail stated, "Nijman's current work aligns with the studio's aesthetic, and his focus on small games remains true to the brand. His ability to make decisions without needing to coordinate with a partner will enable Vlambeer to have a brighter future." Following Ismail's decision, Nijman confirmed on social media that Vlambeer's upcoming game, Ultrabugs, is still slated for release. Nijman assured fans that after completing his current unannounced project, he will prioritize the release of Ultrabugs and also work on an update for Ridiculous Fishing EX. Nijman expressed his commitment to preserving Vlambeer's classic games, ensuring they receive the necessary maintenance to remain playable for years to come. Although the studio was shut down in 2020, Ismail and Nijman continued to provide support and maintenance for their existing titles.
