Media Molecule Restructuring Leads to Conclusion of Live Curation for Dreams

Media Molecule has confirmed the departure date for the remaining staff impacted by the layoffs announced in October, with the Curation team set to leave in spring 2024. In a recent blog post, the studio expressed its gratitude for the support received during this challenging period. Although the Curation team's departure will mark the end of support for DreamSurfing and DreamShaping by mid-April, the studio aims to transition Dreams into a self-sustaining platform. This will enable new creations to reach the community while allowing creators to showcase their work, including games, animations, music, and more. Notably, Media Molecule has stated that there are no current plans to discontinue Dreams, with the hope that the platform will continue to serve as a creative outlet for its users.
