Veteran PlayStation Executive Connie Booth Joins Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts has appointed Connie Booth, a seasoned PlayStation executive, as its new group general manager of action role-playing games. According to IGN, Booth will directly report to Laura Miele, EA's head of entertainment. Her key responsibilities include overseeing the renewal of BioWare, the studio currently working on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Miele expressed her admiration for Booth, stating, "I've known Connie for years and have always been impressed by her passion for and dedication to gaming, as well as her genuine concern for game developers." Miele added, "Connie has a flawless reputation within the developer community and is sure to have a positive influence on our games." Booth's move to EA comes five months after her departure from Sony Interactive Entertainment, where she spent 34 years and led production on notable titles such as Syphon Filter, the Uncharted series, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In 2020, Booth was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame, recognizing her significant contributions to the gaming industry.
