Dark and Darker Heads to Epic Games Store After Injunction Ruling
Following a year-long absence from Steam, Ironmace's Dark and Darker is set to launch on the Epic Games Store. The announcement was made by the developer on its Discord server, as reported by PC Gamer. Currently in early access, the game does not have a confirmed release date. Dark and Darker initially launched on Steam in February 2023 but was subsequently removed after Nexon alleged it originated as their prototype project P3. The development team, comprising former Nexon employees, was accused of utilizing stolen code and assets. In March 2023, Ironmace's offices were raided by Korean authorities, who seized relevant materials. However, in January, a South Korean court dismissed Nexon's preliminary injunction, allowing the game to proceed. According to Eurogamer, a staff member shared the news on Discord, stating the court ruled that the game's service should not be suspended based solely on Nexon's claims and evidence. While Nexon confirmed the dismissal, they referred to the situation as an ongoing legal matter.
