Tencent Acquires Two Game Development Teams from ByteDance

According to recent reports, Tencent has acquired two game development teams from ByteDance and merged them into a new entity. As per sources, including Reuters, the acquired teams comprise a Shenzhen-based studio focused on developing an action game and another team in East China working on an anime-inspired title. The merged teams are now part of Salusoi, a studio fully owned by a Tencent investor. When approached for comment, both Tencent and ByteDance declined to respond. This development follows ByteDance's confirmation of plans to sell its gaming operations, with Tencent rumored to be a potential buyer.
