Viewfinder Claims Top Honors as Game of the Year at UKIE Video Game Awards 2024

The UKIE Video Game Awards 2024 ceremony was held recently, with Sad Owl Studios' Viewfinder emerging victorious as the UK Game of the Year and also securing the award for best console game. Other notable winners included Sports Interactive's Football Manager 24, which took the prize for best PC game, and Ustwo Games' Desta: The Memories Between, which won the award for best mobile game. Additionally, FuturLab's PowerWash Simulator VR was recognized as the best mixed reality game. The awards also honored Sumo Digital as the best developer and Secret Mode as the best publisher, with Bonsai Games being named the Rising Star. Furthermore, five industry professionals were inducted into the UK Games Industry Hall of Fame, including Peter Molyneux, Jonathan Smith, Charles Cecil, Ian Livingstone, and Noirin Carmody.
