Microsoft Expands Gaming Reach to Other Consoles

In a recent Xbox podcast, Microsoft addressed rumors about shifting its first-party strategy, announcing plans to release four games on non-Xbox consoles. Phil Spencer, Xbox head, clarified that this decision is 'not a change to our fundamental exclusive strategy.' The four titles do not include Starfield or Indiana Jones, which were previously speculated to be part of the multiplatform release. Spencer explained that two of the games are community-driven, while the other two are smaller titles that were never intended to be exclusive to Xbox. These games have reached their full potential on Xbox and PC, and Spencer believes releasing them on other platforms will help grow the Xbox business without damaging it. He emphasized the importance of expanding the Xbox brand and introducing its franchises to new players on other platforms. Additionally, Xbox president Sarah Bond announced that Activision Blizzard games, starting with Diablo 4, will be added to Game Pass, which now has 34 million members. Bond also stated that Microsoft is working on future hardware, focusing on delivering a significant technical leap in the next generation.
