Jagex Acquisition by CVC Capital Partners Nears Completion

Negotiations are underway for CVC Capital Partners to acquire Jagex, the game development studio behind RuneScape, with a reported deal value of £900 million. According to Sky News, an agreement for CVC to purchase a majority stake in Jagex could be formalized shortly. This move aligns with CVC's strategy to invest in intellectual properties with global recognition. The development comes five months after Carlyle Group initiated the process to sell Jagex, a company it acquired just two years prior. Jagex's valuation had previously reached up to £1 billion.
