Crop Circle Games Experiences Staff Reductions

Several developers from Crop Circle Games have reported that the studio has been affected by layoffs, as first reported by Game Developer. This was discovered through LinkedIn updates from multiple developers at the studio, stating they were let go. Further research by GamesIndustry.biz found additional profiles of Crop Circle Games employees who have been laid off or are looking for new roles, along with several others indicating their availability for work. According to the affected staff, the layoffs were unexpected, and one project has been put on hold. As part of Prytania Media's portfolio of AAA game developers, founded by Jeff Strain and Annie Delisi Strain, Crop Circle Games was established in 2021 and officially announced in 2022 with the aim of creating immersive narrative sandbox games. However, the studio has yet to announce its debut project. Prytania has not provided immediate comment on the extent of the layoffs.
