Nordcurrent Acquires Cinemaware's Game Portfolio

Nordcurrent, a mobile gaming company, has purchased the Cinemaware game portfolio from Starbreeze Entertainment, expanding its offerings with classic titles such as Defender of the Crown, Wings, and S.D.I. According to Nordcurrent CEO Victoria Trofimova, "The acquisition of Cinemaware's portfolio is a significant milestone in our mission to establish a strong PC and console games division, enabling us to enhance our portfolio with renowned titles." Cinemaware, founded in 1986 and revived in 2000, had its intellectual property rights acquired by Starbreeze in 2016. This acquisition follows Nordcurrent's purchase of River End Games, a Gothenburg-based studio, over two months ago.
