Genshin Impact Surpasses $5 Billion in Record Time

Genshin Impact has broken records by reaching $5 billion in consumer spending faster than any other mobile game, as revealed in a recent report by Data.ai. The game achieved this impressive revenue figure in just 40 months following its launch in September 2020. In comparison, it took Clash of Clans 51 months to reach the same milestone. The report, which tracked in-app purchases through the App Store and Google Play, excludes spending from third-party Android stores. A country-wise breakdown of Genshin Impact's revenue shows China at the top, accounting for approximately 30% of total revenue with $1.5 billion. Japan follows closely with $1.06 billion, making up 21% of the game's total revenue, while the US ranks third with $903 million, representing 18% of the game's consumer spending. Notably, Data.ai reports that only 13 mobile titles have crossed the $5 billion revenue threshold via the App Store and Google Play.
