Mountaintop Secures Additional $30 Million in Funding
Mountaintop has revealed its newest funding round, with the remotely operated game developer obtaining an additional $30 million for its debut game project. This recent funding injection succeeds the studio's previous funding rounds, which included $30 million in Series A funding and $5.5 million in seed funding, both secured in 2021. The latest funding round was spearheaded by Zack Zaharis of Anthos Capital, who will assume a position on the studio's board of directors. Other participants in the funding round include RX3 Growth Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Abstract, Vgames, BoxGroup, and Spark Capital. Additionally, Mountaintop has enlisted the support of several influential angel investors, including notable figures such as Shroud, Tarik, iiTzTimmy, Zedd, CohhCarnage, Sacriel, and professional basketball player Paul George. The studio is currently developing a tactical shooter game for PC platforms, with plans for an official announcement later in the year.
