Day of the Devs has revealed its transition to an independent nonprofit organization, marking a significant milestone in its evolution. As part of this development, the entity has initiated its inaugural fundraising campaign, focused on covering essential expenses such as venue rental, equipment, personnel, and video production costs. By establishing a fiscal sponsorship with Legacy Global, Day of the Devs strives to increase the transparency and public accessibility of its funding. Initially founded in 2012 by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, Day of the Devs was established to, in part, shed light on emerging and underappreciated talent within the industry.
