Sony Invests in Carry1st
Carry1st, a leading mobile games publisher in Africa, has secured investment from the Sony Innovation Fund, marking the first major milestone in Sony's initiative to foster growth in Africa's entertainment sector. Founded in 2018 by Tinotenda Mundangepfupfu, Lucy Hoffman, and Cordel Robbin-Coker, Carry1st is poised to revolutionize gaming on the continent. According to CEO Cordel Robbin-Coker, the partnership will 'drive the future of gaming in Africa,' leveraging Carry1st's regional expertise and Sony's gaming and entertainment prowess to bring top-tier games to African players. This development follows Carry1st's $27 million funding round announced last year.
