Reikon Games, Developer of Ruiner, Reportedly Undergoes Significant Staff Reduction

Reikon Games, a Polish game development studio, has allegedly undergone a substantial downsizing of its workforce. Sources close to the matter informed GamesIndustry.biz that the layoffs affected approximately 70 staff members, although a former producer, RafaƂ Basaj, suggested the number was closer to 60 in a post on Threads. Kotaku reported that other insiders estimated around 56% of the company's total employees were impacted by the decision. The news of the layoffs was communicated to the staff on January 23, 2024, and since then, numerous former employees have taken to LinkedIn and other social media platforms to announce their search for new job opportunities. GamesIndustry.biz attempted to reach out to Reikon Games for confirmation and a statement but had not received a response at the time of publication. Reikon Games is perhaps most notable for developing the 2017 cyberpunk shooter Ruiner, which was published by Devolver Digital.
