Focus Entertainment Experiences 43% Decline in Q3 Revenue, Announces Rebranding to Pullup Entertainment

Focus Entertainment has released its Q3 earnings report, revealing a 43% decline in revenue, largely due to the absence of major game releases during the quarter ending December 31. The company has attributed this decline to the lack of significant titles during the period. In addition to the revenue report, Focus Entertainment has announced its plans to rebrand as Pullup Entertainment, starting April 1. Key financial highlights include: - Total revenue: €43.3 million, representing a 43% year-over-year decrease - Catalogue revenue: €9 million, down 84% year-over-year - Back catalogue revenue: €29.5 million, up 45% year-over-year The company's revenue during the quarter was driven by titles such as Insurgency: Sandstorm, A Plague Tale: Requiem, SnowRunner, and Atomic Heart. Focus Entertainment noted that the 43% decline in total revenue for Q3 was partly due to the release of A Plague Tale: Requiem and Evil West during the same period last year. The company also reported that revenue for the quarter includes contributions from its newly established audiovisual production division, Scripteam. According to Focus Entertainment, 'like-for-like revenue, excluding the contributions of Dovetail and Scripteam, was €35.1 million. 84% of the Group's sales were made via digital partners, with international sales accounting for 95% of the Group's total revenue in the third quarter.' The earnings report also provided details on the structure of Pullup Entertainment, which will comprise three core business divisions: Focus Entertainment Publishing, the Arcade Crew, and its developer studios. Focus Entertainment Publishing, a spin-off of the company's publishing operations, will be led by deputy managing director John Bert. The publishing unit will focus on independent titles and retrogaming. Meanwhile, The Arcade Crew will be overseen by Cyrille Imbert, CEO of Dotemy and deputy managing director. The company's developer studios division includes Deck13, Streumon, Twelve Tenths, Leikir Studio, Blackmill, Dovetail, and Carpool Studio. In terms of upcoming game launches, Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, developed by Don't Nod, is scheduled for release on February 13 as part of the company's fourth quarter lineup.
