Trademark Dispute Between Take-Two and Remedy Over Logo Design Resolved

A trademark dispute was reportedly initiated by Take-Two Interactive due to perceived similarities between the logos of Remedy and Rockstar Games. Remedy had filed for two logo variations at the UK Intellectual Property Office in May 2023, which Take-Two opposed in September. However, the matter has since been resolved. The issue arose after Remedy unveiled its new logo in April 2023, aiming to create a more consistent visual identity and reflect the company's growth. This development occurred after Remedy and Rockstar agreed to collaborate on remakes of Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 in April 2022, with Rockstar financing the projects. The remakes are currently in the final stages of preparation, as stated in Remedy's Q3 2023 financial report. A Remedy representative has confirmed that the trademark dispute was resolved amicably, with the companies continuing their partnership.
