Netspeak Announces Staff Reduction of 25

Netspeak Games has initiated a consultation process to reduce its workforce by 25 employees, as announced in a recent blog post on the company's website. According to Netspeak CEO Callum Cooper-Brighting, the studio behind Sunshine Days has faced significant difficulties in securing new funding over the past year. Cooper-Brighting stated, "After exploring all alternatives and realizing the need for additional financial backing to address rising user acquisition costs and maintain cash flow for a game with a prolonged payback period, we regretfully concluded that downsizing our operations is likely unavoidable." Despite this development, Sunshine Days remains available on mobile platforms, with a PC release still scheduled for this quarter.
