Pole to Win Implements Global Staff Reduction
Pole to Win, a support studio, has become the latest gaming company to undergo staff cuts. A report from Kotaku indicates that approximately 45 individuals have been let go. Former staff members revealed to the publication that the layoffs predominantly affected quality assurance personnel based outside the United States, although other departments were also impacted. In a statement, the company acknowledged, "PTW made the tough decision to downsize our workforce in multiple countries where we have operations. "This decision was not taken lightly, as the core of our business is rooted in the people who drive our ability to deliver top-notch products and services. "We extend our gratitude to the departing team members for their dedication and hard work." In October of the previous year, the support studio expanded into South America with the launch of PTW Brazil, and it plans to open a new office in São Paulo by early 2024, which is expected to create over 100 job opportunities.
