Twitch Experiences 4% Viewership Uptick in December

In November, Twitch witnessed a significant milestone with 1.8 billion hours watched, marking a 4% increase from the 1.73 billion hours watched in the preceding month, as reported by Stream Elements and Rainmaker.gg's State of the Stream. Notably, December had one more day than November. Furthermore, between April and December 2023, December recorded the highest daily viewing hours, reaching 57.7 million. The top games in November remained unchanged, with League of Legends, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto 5 leading the viewership charts. The report highlights that Call of Duty: Warzone saw a substantial gain of 29 million views, culminating in 38 million views for the month following the release of Season 1 reloaded. The most watched games on Twitch during December were: Grand Theft Auto 5 with 162 million views, Fortnite with 101 million, League of Legends with 94 million, World of Warcraft with 49 million, Valorant with 47 million, Call of Duty Warzone with 38 million, Minecraft with 37 million, CS: GO with 36 million, and DOTA 2 with 35 million. According to Stream Elements co-founder, Or Perry, "Twitch experienced relatively stable growth in 2023, with a modest 3% increase in viewing hours in Q4. A key observation is that despite top streamers allocating time to other platforms, this shift did not significantly affect overall viewership."
