Playtika Announces 10% Workforce Reduction
Playtika is set to downsize its workforce by approximately 10%, which translates to around 400 redundancies. According to CTech, this decision will not impact the company's Israeli operations. With a current Israeli staff of nearly 1,100 employees, the move is part of a series of strategic decisions made by the mobile gaming firm over the past year. This period has seen the temporary halt of game development due to market challenges, a failed attempt to acquire Rovio Entertainment, and the subsequent acquisition of Innplay Labs in September 2023 for an initial $80 million, with potential long-term costs reaching $300 million.
