Kingsley Brothers Honored with CBEs in the King's New Year's Honours List
Jason and Chris Kingsley, the CEO and CTO of Rebellion, respectively, have been appointed Commanders of the Order of the British Empire as part of the King's 2024 New Year's Honours. This prestigious honor recognizes their significant contributions to the creative industries. The Kingsley brothers had previously received OBEs in 2012 and 2019. Rebellion, founded by the brothers, has developed over 100 games, including the renowned Sniper Elite series, which has sold over 40 million copies worldwide. The company, with nearly 600 employees, primarily based in the UK, has been operational for over three decades. In addition to game development, Rebellion is involved in publishing, film, and TV production, and owns the comic book publisher 2000 AD, which is home to the iconic Judge Dredd series. The Kingsleys have also been actively involved in supporting the broader gaming industry through their work with organizations such as TGA and ScreenSkills. Jason Kingsley recently released his book, 'Leading The Rebellion', which offers insights into his experiences in the industry.
