Jill Braff Appointed as Head of Studio for Bethesda and ZeniMax

Jill Braff has taken on the role of head of studio for both ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Game Studios. According to a report by The Verge, this appointment is part of a series of leadership changes that coincide with the upcoming departure of Bobby Kotick as CEO of Activision Blizzard. Braff will be responsible for overseeing the development teams at ZeniMax and Bethesda, while also maintaining her leadership position at Microsoft Casual Games. The announcement was made in an employee memo sent by Matt Booty, president of game content studios. Booty stated, "We are pleased to announce Jill Braff as the head of our ZeniMax and Bethesda studios. With her extensive background in the games and entertainment industry, having held positions at Nintendo, Sega, Glu Mobile, Home Shopping Network, and Warner Bros., Jill is well-equipped to lead our teams." He also noted that Braff played a key role in the integration process when ZeniMax and Bethesda joined Xbox, allowing her to build strong relationships with their teams and leaders. Throughout her career, Braff has held various senior leadership positions within the entertainment industry, including a two-year tenure as executive vice president of digital commerce at HSN and roles as president and chief operating officer at Brit + Co. She joined Microsoft in 2020, serving as general manager of integration and casual games at Xbox Games Studios.
