Tencent Dissolves Team Kaiju Studio

Tencent has officially closed down Team Kaiju, a subsidiary of the TiMi Studio Group based in North America. Established in 2020, the studio had been developing a major multiplayer title under the guidance of industry veterans Rosi Zagortcheva and Scott Warner, who previously worked on notable franchises such as Halo and Battlefield. The shutdown of Team Kaiju also resulted in the cancellation of the unannounced game project. A spokesperson for TiMi stated, "As a result of this decision, we have relocated many team members to other projects within Tencent and TiMi, while bidding farewell to a few talented colleagues." The statement continued, "TiMi remains dedicated to creating games for a global audience and will proceed with hiring and working on other game projects in North America. We extend our gratitude to every member of Team Kaiju for their dedication, passion, and professionalism." According to their LinkedIn profiles, Zagortcheva and Warner have since moved on to new roles at different game studios and projects.
