Meta Quest Welcomes Xbox Games Pass

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now enjoy a vast library of games on Meta Quest VR headsets, thanks to the launch of the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta app. Available for download from the Meta Quest Store, the app is compatible with Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro headsets and supports various controllers, including those from Xbox, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch Pro, with PlayStation 5 controller support in the pipeline. The app allows for an immersive gaming experience, with popular titles like Starfield and Forza Motorsport displayed on a customizable 2D virtual screen. Initially introduced in 2021 for Windows 10 PCs and iOS devices, the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta app has expanded its reach. Notably, Xbox head Phil Spencer has confirmed that there are no plans to bring Game Pass to PlayStation or Nintendo Switch. The possibility of Game Pass being introduced to other platforms, such as the Steam Deck, has been a topic of discussion among industry experts.
