A24 and Kojima Productions Collaborate on Live-Action Death Stranding Film

Kojima Productions, under the leadership of Hideo Kojima, has partnered with A24 to produce a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding. The game, initially released in 2019, surpassed 10 million players by November 2022. Hideo Kojima expressed his admiration for A24, stating that their unique approach to filmmaking and commitment to quality align with Kojima Productions' values. This collaboration marks a significant step in the company's expansion into film and television, following the launch of its music, TV, and film division in 2021. Although a Death Stranding movie was previously reported to be in development with Hammerstone Studios, the current status of this collaboration is unclear. Meanwhile, a sequel to the game was announced in December 2022.
