Tokyo to Welcome New Pokémon Theme Park

A brand-new Pokémon theme park is set to debut in Yomiuriland, a well-established amusement park situated in Tokyo, Japan. The Pokémon Company has collaborated with Yomiuri Land Co., the operator of the amusement park, and The Yomiuri Shimbun, a prominent publication, to form a new entity known as PokéPark Kanto, as reported by The Japan News, the English-language arm of The Yomiuri Shimbun. This new company will oversee the development of the theme park, which promises to offer an immersive Pokémon experience amidst a lush natural setting, complete with various events. However, the opening date for the PokéPark has not been disclosed. Established in 1964 in Inagi, a part of Tokyo's metropolitan area, Yomiuriland has a long history and is located within the Kantō region of Japan, which served as the inspiration for the setting of the inaugural Pokémon games.
