Versus Evil Founder Steve Escalante Announces Departure

Steve Escalante, the founder and general manager of Versus Evil, has revealed that he will be stepping down from his position at the company. Established in 2013, Versus Evil has published a range of titles including Jumpala, Wintermoor Tactics Club, and Eville. In addition to his role at Versus Evil, Escalante is also departing from Red Cerebus, an outsourcing development firm he founded in 2017. In a statement on LinkedIn, Escalante expressed his gratitude for the experiences and opportunities he has had, stating, "I wish to say thank you for these amazing years, experiences, games, pitches, trust, and the travels we have done together." During his time at Versus Evil, the company was acquired by TinyBuild in 2021. Recently, TinyBuild adjusted its revenue forecasts and resolved a legal dispute with Versus Evil.
