Fishlabs to Reduce Staff by 50 Positions

Plaion, an Embracer Group subsidiary, has revealed plans to downsize Fishlabs studio by approximately 50 roles. Despite efforts to avoid redundancies, the lack of financial support for Project Black and insufficient approvals led to this decision. Fishlabs will maintain its collaborative partnerships with Embracer subsidiaries and Plaion to co-develop projects. According to Lars Janssen, Plaion's vice president of worldwide studios and talent, 'Every individual at Fishlabs has been an integral part of our creative process, bringing their expertise, passion, and commitment to each project.' This restructuring is part of Embracer's larger plan, initially announced in July, which has already resulted in significant staff reductions.
