Fortnite Introduces Anonymous Voice Reporting Feature

Epic Games has introduced a voice reporting feature in Fortnite, enabling players to report suspicious or rule-breaking behavior through audio samples. The feature captures the last five minutes of chat audio, which is then sent to moderators for review. This recording is automatically deleted after 14 days or once the review process is complete. To maintain user anonymity, reports will be kept confidential. For players under 18, voice reporting will be enabled by default, although they can opt out by muting themselves or disabling voice chat. Additionally, parents and guardians can manage audio permissions using Epic's parental controls, giving them greater oversight of their child's online interactions. This move follows similar initiatives by other gaming platforms, such as Xbox, Unity, and Activision Blizzard, to enhance audio moderation and create a safer gaming environment.
