Atlus Announces 15% Salary Increase for Employees in April 2024

The developer behind the popular Persona series, Atlus, has announced plans to increase the average annual salary of its employees by 15% starting in April 2024. According to reports by Game Developer, the new starting salary for recent graduates will be raised from ¥257,000 ($1,708) to ¥300,000 ($1,993). Additionally, the company will be introducing performance-based bonuses tied to its global profits. The success of franchises such as Persona and Shin Megami Tensei has reportedly prompted Atlus to reassess its compensation packages. The company aims to foster a comfortable work environment for all employees and is investing in personnel measures, including reforms to its existing personnel system. This latest increase comes on the heels of a 5% average salary increase implemented earlier in the year, resulting in a total 20% salary increase for employees in 2023.
