Squido Studio Secures CA$1.5 Million in Funding

Squido Studio, the developer behind No More Rainbows, has successfully raised CA$1.5 million in its latest funding round. The investment, led by the Canada Media Fund as part of its Experimentation Stream, aims to foster innovation in digital media through its Innovation and Experimentation program. Additional support comes from notable partners including Preview Labs, La Guilde de jeu vidéo du Québec, OVHcloud, Equinox Games, the National Research Council Canada, Doug North Cook from Creature, and DigiHub Shawinigan. According to Squido Studio's LinkedIn announcement, these funds will be dedicated to the development of a groundbreaking mixed reality multiplayer game. This investment follows the studio's previous funding from the Canada Media Fund in 2021, which enabled the expansion of its team and the transition to full-time development on No More Rainbows.
