Microsoft Partners with Inworld to Develop AI-Powered Game Development Tools
Microsoft has formed a long-term partnership with Inworld AI to design and develop innovative AI-powered tools for game development. According to a recent blog post by Xbox's general manager of AI, Haiyan Zhang, the partnership aims to provide developers with easy-to-use resources for creating engaging dialogue, stories, and quests. The toolset will feature an AI-powered design assistant, enabling developers to explore a wider range of creative ideas and possibilities. Additionally, an AI-driven character engine will be included, allowing for the generation of new narrative content and immersive storytelling experiences. "Our goal is to empower developers to bring their vision to life, experiment with new concepts, and push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of gaming, while enhancing player engagement and overall gaming experience," Zhang explained. This announcement follows Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's statement in January, outlining the company's plans to integrate AI technologies, including those from ChatGPT and OpenAI's Dall-E 2, into its entire product lineup.
