NetEase Partners with Industry Expert Greg Street to Launch Fantastic Pixel Castle Studio

NetEase has collaborated with veteran game developer Greg Street to establish Fantastic Pixel Castle, a new game development studio. The studio's inaugural project is currently in development, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. Fantastic Pixel Castle will function as a remote studio, facilitating the recruitment of top talent from around the world to work on its debut MMO game, codenamed Ghost, which is set in an entirely new fantasy universe. According to Studio Head Greg Street, "Our goal with Fantastic Pixel Castle and Ghost is to prioritize transparency and collaborative development, engaging with players throughout the process." The studio's remote setup enables the hiring of exceptional game developers, with plans to maintain a small, agile team for rapid design iteration. Street emphasized, "We aim to showcase the game frequently to the community, ensuring we're on the right track and incorporating continuous feedback." This approach is made possible by NetEase Games' strategic partnership, which provides the necessary creative freedom, resources, and support for success. Greg Street's impressive background includes his role as lead systems designer at Blizzard Entertainment, where he worked on World of Warcraft, and as executive producer on the League of Legends MMO at Riot Games.
