GamesAid Surpasses £23,000 in EGX 2023 Fundraising Efforts

The UK-based charity GamesAid has successfully raised over £23,269 during the three-day EGX event, largely thanks to its tombola, which included a substantial £10,000 donation from an anonymous benefactor. The tombola featured an assortment of items, including games, collectibles, limited editions, and an Xbox Series X, all generously donated by various publishers, developers, and supporters of GamesAid, including those participating in the charity's annual Gang in a Vang event. The event's popularity led to its premature closure on the fourth day of EGX. GamesAid has expressed its appreciation to all participants and donors, extending a special thank you to the individual who made the significant £10,000 donation on Saturday. The charity also acknowledged the support of EGX and the numerous companies that contributed to the tombola, as well as those who donated during the Gang in a Van event. This achievement follows GamesAid's earlier success at Develop:Brighton, where the charity raised over £23,000 through a combination of a charity poker tournament, raffle, tombola, and its partnership with the Develop Awards.
