Epic Games Offers Lucrative Incentives for Developers to Release Classic Titles on its Platform

Epic Games has introduced the Now on Epic program, enabling companies to earn 100% of the revenue generated by their existing titles on the Epic Games Store for the initial six months. To be eligible, products must have been initially launched on third-party PC or subscription services prior to October 31, 2023. Following the six-month period, Epic Games will implement its standard 12% revenue sharing model. Developers can enroll in the program until December 31, 2024, and all eligible products must be available on the Epic Games Store by June 30, 2025. One of the key requirements for the Now on Epic program is that companies with three or more products on third-party stores or subscription services must bring at least three of these titles to the Epic Games Store, while those with fewer than three products must bring all of them. Additionally, titles that have been released in Early Access are also eligible for the Now on Epic program. This announcement comes approximately two months after Epic Games launched its opt-in First Run Program, which also allows creators to retain 100% of their revenue during the first six months after release. The First Run Program permits games initially released on mobile or console platforms to be sold through other third-party stores, provided they utilize the Epic Games Store's keyless distribution system.
