Games London's Game Changer Initiative to Appear at GI Investment Summit

Games London is set to bring its Game Changer group of entrepreneurs to the upcoming GI Investment Summit. This program is designed to support game developers from underrepresented groups, with 40 business founders participating in 2023. The initiative aims to enhance their prospects with investors and publishers. At the Investment Summit, these founders will have the opportunity to engage with investors, platform holders, and publishers through one-on-one meetings and group sessions. The event will take place on Thursday, October 12th, alongside the EGX consumer show. A series of talks and discussions are also scheduled, including sessions on setting up a studio, working with publishers, and a major games investor panel featuring prominent industry figures. Additionally, roundtable discussions with notable companies will be held. According to Michael French, head of Games London, 'The GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit will provide investors and publishers with a chance to connect with emerging businesses led by founders from underrepresented backgrounds who are part of our Game Changer program. These businesses showcase a diverse range of ideas and operate across various sectors, including games software, services, and consultancy.' French added, 'We are proud to be part of the summit and offer our cohort additional exposure. The Game Changer program is a new two-year initiative supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which enables us to provide workshops, mentoring, and trade show presence for founders and leaders who might otherwise be overlooked.' The GI Investment Summit is sponsored by TinyBuild, and tickets are available for purchase starting at £45. Each ticket includes access to the event, meeting system, lunch, refreshments, and a four-day pass to the EGX consumer show.
