Gran Turismo Sport Online Mode to Shut Down in January

Sony has revealed that online services for Gran Turismo Sport will soon come to an end. The game's servers, developed by Polyphony Digital, are scheduled to go offline on January 31, 2024. Following this date, players will no longer have access to online features such as community tools, open lobby, and sport mode, as well as custom liveries and other online items. However, users will still be able to play the game's offline components, including any purchased downloadable content. The company also announced plans to enhance the online service for Gran Turismo 7. Originally launched in 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Gran Turismo Sport initially required an online connection to save progress.
