FIFA 23 Removed from Online Stores by EA

Electronic Arts has taken down FIFA 23 from all online stores. Existing owners of the game's digital version can continue to play it both offline and online. According to a report by Ars Technica, this move aligns with EA's practice of delisting older football titles. For instance, FIFA 22 was removed from digital stores nearly seven months after FIFA 23's release, while FIFA 21 was taken down from Steam eight months after the launch of FIFA 22. The delisting of FIFA 23 is likely due to the expiration of EA's licensing agreement with FIFA, which ended in May last year after nearly 30 years. It was reported that FIFA sought to increase its licensing fee to over $1 billion per four-year World Cup cycle, leading to the split.
