Lawsuit Filed Against Aspyr and Saber Interactive Over Canceled Knights of the Old Republic 2 DLC
A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Aspyr and Saber Interactive, alleging that the companies failed to deliver on promised downloadable content for the Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2. According to reports, multiple buyers have joined the lawsuit, stating that they would not have purchased the game if the DLC, which aimed to restore missing content, had not been announced. The plaintiffs argue that Aspyr and Saber Interactive are legally bound to provide refunds due to the canceled release. One plaintiff expressed feeling deceived, opting to wait for the DLC before playing the game. Although game cancellations are common, Aspyr offered affected fans a complimentary copy of the game on Steam, where the restored content can be accessed via a mod.
