Mortal Kombat 1 Claims Top Spot in UK Boxed Charts

The latest UK boxed charts have seen a significant influx of new releases, with Mortal Kombat 1 emerging as the best-selling title. According to GfK's data, the game's strongest sales were on the PS5, closely followed by the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Lies of P, developed by Round8 Studio, debuted at number three, marking a departure from the studio's previous free-to-play MMO, Bless Unleashed. The bundled HD version of Pikmin 1 and 2 entered the charts at number four, following its physical release after initially being available on the Nintendo eShop. Payday 3, developed by Starbreeze Studio, secured the seventh spot, with significantly higher sales on the PS5 compared to the Xbox Series X|S. Cyberpunk 2077 re-entered the top ten at number six, driven by a 163% surge in sales due to price promotions ahead of the Phantom Liberty expansion. As a result, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dropped to ninth place for the first time since its release in May. The Crew Motorfest fell to eleventh place with a 57% decline in sales, while Starfield dropped out of the top ten to nineteenth place, experiencing a 41% decrease in sales.
