ReedPop Unveils Impressive First-Year Outcomes for Engage Data Platform

ReedPop, the prominent event organizer and publisher of websites including GamesIndustry.biz, has released the results of its Engage audience platform's inaugural year. The data platform, developed as a response to the decline of third-party cookies, has seen significant year-over-year improvements in click-through rates, video completion rates, and viewability. Average click-through rates have increased substantially, with core partner ad campaigns experiencing over 50% growth compared to pre-platform levels. Meanwhile, video completion rates have risen by 20% on average. Launched in September 2022 on the Permutive platform, Engage provides advertisers with deeper insights into users across ReedPop's portfolio of events and publications, including attendees of major shows like New York Comic Con, PAX, EGX, and MCM, as well as websites such as Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, Dicebreaker, VG247, Digital Foundry, and Popverse. "Engage enables our clients to gain a better understanding of their customers, their engagement across our channels, and other areas of interest," noted Matt Butlin, ReedPop's programmatic lead. "This allows our sales team to be proactive and consultative, which is an exciting prospect for our clients." Joe Root, Permutive's CEO and co-founder, added: "It's great to see premium publishers like ReedPop build audiences and develop insights to drive revenue and foster deeper relationships with advertisers based on their first-party data. Publishers hold the key to addressing ID and cookie deprecation, and as ReedPop's year-one results demonstrate, these audiences can be directly leveraged by advertisers to reach hard-to-reach audiences."
