Apple Introduces Region-Specific Pre-Order Option for Mobile Game Developers

Apple is set to enable mobile game developers to offer pre-orders for their upcoming titles in specific regions. This move allows developers to customize their game launches according to different regional markets. As stated in Apple's revised guidelines, "New apps can be released between 2 to 180 days after the pre-order goes live, while existing apps can enter new regions between 2 to 365 days after the pre-order is announced." According to Apple, "This added flexibility lets you offer pre-orders for entirely new apps that have not been published on the App Store before, and also use pre-orders to expand existing apps into new regions." On the release date, pre-ordered games will automatically be downloaded to the user's device.
