Microsoft's Chief Product Officer Panos Panay Exits the Company

Microsoft has confirmed that Panos Panay, its chief product officer, is leaving the company. The news was communicated to staff via email, as reported by Bloomberg. Panay, who initially joined Microsoft in 2004, rose through the ranks to oversee the development of various hardware products, including the Surface lineup, desktops, and other devices. In a social media post, Panay expressed his gratitude for his 19-year tenure at Microsoft, stating, "I've decided it's time for me to start a new chapter. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such talented individuals and created innovative products with them." Following his departure, some of Panay's responsibilities will be assumed by Yusuf Mehdi, the company's chief marketing officer for consumer products and corporate vice president.
