Arm Sees 25% Surge in IPO Debut

Arm, a leading semiconductor company, made a remarkable entrance on the Nasdaq Fund Network, with its stock price soaring to $63.59 on its first day of trading, significantly higher than its initial public offering price of $51. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Peter Garnry, head of equity strategy at Saxo Bank, credited the substantial increase to the high level of participation from individual investors who were unable to invest during the IPO. According to Saxo, Arm's stock was the fifth most traded globally on Thursday. Although the company's second day of trading was more subdued, with a 44% decline in volume and a 3% drop in stock price to $61.56, it still remained well above its initial public offering price. Garnry noted, 'Our assessment of Arm remains that its valuation is quite high and relies heavily on the expectation that generative AI will drive significant future growth.'
