Gamedev.world Conference Returns in 2023
The online game development conference, Gamedev.world, is scheduled to return this year, as announced by its co-founder, Rami Ismail, on social media. Ismail expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We're thrilled to bring back Gamedev.world for another edition of the truly global gaming industry event, featuring live-translated talks in multiple languages to break down language barriers and provide universal access to knowledge and stories." The conference dates will be disclosed at a later time. This marks the second installment of Gamedev.world, following its debut in 2019. The event strives to be inclusive by offering closed captions in several languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. In a 2019 interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Ismail highlighted the need for a global gaming conference, saying, "Currently, there isn't a games conference that brings together prominent speakers, attendees, and perspectives from around the world." "Gamedev.world aims to fill this gap by covering the global games industry and the medium of video games as a unified concept."
