Virtuos Expands Global Reach with New Prague Studio
Virtuos has officially launched its newest studio in Prague, marking the fourth location within the Virtuos Labs system. This new outpost will cater to the needs of game developers, providing comprehensive engineering support across various platforms and technologies, with a particular emphasis on networking, user interface design, mobile gaming, and optimization techniques. The Prague studio will be led by General Manager Jan Herodes, who brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Disney Interactive Studios, Bohemia Interactive, and Keen Software House. According to Herodes, the Czech Republic, especially Prague, is emerging as a significant hub for game development globally, driven by a burgeoning pool of talented professionals graduating from local universities with specialized programs in game development. "Prague offers a unique blend of talent and opportunity, and I am confident that Virtuos Labs – Prague will not only benefit from this ecosystem but also contribute to it, delivering exceptional technical services to our clients," Herodes stated. Additionally, Otakar Nieder has been appointed as the Studio Technical Director, bringing his expertise from previous leadership roles at Bohemia Interactive Simulations and Grip Studios. The studio aims to achieve a team size of 20 employees by the end of the year, further solidifying Virtuos' commitment to expanding its global footprint and enhancing its service offerings.
